The only trouble with giving such a wonderful place to stay a good review is everyone else finding it! Ann and David are very welcoming and helpful and their properties are warm, comfortable and well equipped for even the rainy days Definitely our top of the list as the place to stay on the island. The cottages are dog friendly and there are ample opportunities for walks.

It was an absolute joy to spend a week in Laurel Cottage. The spaciousness and thoughtful layout of the accommodation and facilities lend themselves to a most comfortable stay.
It is homely with excellent natural light and on arrival everything was spotless.

We stayed in Laurel Cottage mid September. The cottage had everything you needed, very clean with large rooms. The location is ideal, the patio backs on to the owner’s field with 3 highland cattle, and just down the lane you are in Borthwood Copse with the red squirrels. Perfect.

8 Aug 2019. Just returned home from our week's holiday at Borthwood Cottages. It was our second stay, 2 years in a row. It suits our needs, being a family of 4 generations. Great Grandma, Grandma, Mummy and 2 grandsons (age 7 and 3). The setting is peaceful and private, ideal for escaping from the stresses and strains of everyday life. Having its own patio garden with beautiful views, and large drive to front (enough space for 3 cars) is a bonus. Anne and David are always so welcoming, and helpful. The boys loved the local wildlife (red squirrels seen running across the patio fence, and neighbouring farm animals to go and see just opposite. We will definitely be back again next year and would totally recommend Borthwood Cottages to anyone looking for good quality self-catering accommodation ideally located within a short drive of Sandown and Shanklin. We are all sad to be home. Thank you

One of the most relaxing places to be. Everything you need to feel comfortable. Beautiful location. Fully furnished cottage with equipped kitchen. Beautifully furnished and dog friendly. Definitely will return.

Excellent cottages well equipped. The owners Anne and David are very helpful. In laurel cottage you can see their pet highland cattle.

We have just had another wonderful holiday at Laurel Cottage. My husband and I are both mobility impaired and the facilities there are first class. The scenery is brilliant and Ann and Dave are both down to earth and will assist with anything that you need. The cottage has so much space and my son and family came down to join us. There was still so much space even with 2 young ones running round. Having Eric to feed in the field just made their day.
